Investors Title Company was founded in 1972 by Jim Fenberg, who began his career performing title searches for banks and financial institutions while completing his final year of law school. As Jim's expertise grew, his largest client asked him to expand operations to St. Louis. In 1969, he relocated from Chicago and built a company on two fundamental principles: deliver title searches faster and at a lower cost than anyone else.
Starting with a single office in Clayton, Jim pioneered a customer-first approach by opening branches near real estate offices—making Investors the first title company to prioritize convenience for both realtors and consumers. His vision was simple but powerful: treat title services like a service business, where clients always receive the best combination of speed, accuracy, pricing, and professionalism.
More than five decades later, that same philosophy drives everything we do. We maintain our founder's legacy by producing title work faster and more accurately than our competitors, offering favorable pricing, and communicating directly with our clients.
